Long Term Recovery - FEMA

posted Feb 9, 2011, 12:00 PM by Andrew Chadick
We now have an easier access and perhaps a more complete description of the long term recovery process and how it can best be achieved.

The informational videos, entitled, “Disaster Assistance Information Sharing Tutorials” have been posted to the FEMA website for public viewing at:

http://www.fema.gov/medialibrary/collections/1344

The videos cover Routine Uses (H), (I), and (J); an overview of how FEMA collects applicant information; and how FEMA staff are required to protect applicant information.  There are also testimonial videos which feature federal, state, and voluntary agency employees who give insight into the ease of information sharing via the Routine Uses. Each video is accompanied by closed captioning, a transcript, and the option to download and save the video file.  The transcript for the Routine Use H(1) video is also available in Spanish.  To view the closed captioning on the all of the videos, select “CC” at the lower right of the video screen, then select the “play” button.
